Soreen plays Secret Santa at the Cash For Kids Christmas Appeal

On Sunday 13th December Manchester's Key 103 radio station played host to the Mini Jingle Ball for 250 disadvantaged children as part of the Key 103 Cash for Kids Christmas appeal.

Keen to support this worthwhile event, Soreen donated over 200 Soreen Fruity Five loaves and 600 Soreen Go bars for the children’s party. The appeal urges people to help the 1,261 children on the Child Protection Register for Neglect in Greater Manchester by playing a 'Secret Santa' and giving gifts to children that do not receive any presents on Christmas day.
To contribute to the Cash for Kids Winter Appeal visit the Key 103 website's charity section http://www.key103.co.uk/sectional.asp?id=24139

Malt loaf, Marathons and Memories

This week's blog has been submitted by the team at St. Chad's College Boat Club after they contacted SoreenHQ with their Soreen Stories and telling us about their dedication and devotion to Soreen products.
"On 20th September this year, 8 brave rowers and 2 brave coxes left Durham at 4am to compete in the Boston Rowing Marathon – a gruelling 31 mile race through tight canals, locks and forests of river weed. With only a small space available in the boat to store essentials; shoes, water, spanners and Soreen malt loaf accompanied two coxed fours from St Chad’s College Boat Club on their epic journey. Tasty carbohydrates and fruit warded away exhaustion, both physical and psychological, to deliver 2 crews safely to the finish line around 5 hours later – 10 bodies sunburnt, 16 hands blistered but two course records smashed, firm friendships formed and unforgettable times had. There was even some Soreen left for the journey home.

Soreen malt loaf has now earned its place as a vital member of the club with essential supplies distributed to competitors in winter races all over the country and recommended to each beginner at the start of the year."
