4 days, 400 miles and mountains of malt loaf!

Bright and early on Thursday 27th May 2010, a valiant group of 50 cyclists will depart from central Bristol, bound for Bordeaux in the South of France. More than 400 miles over four days – all to raise money for local Bristol charity PROPS, enabling them to promote opportunities for those with special needs, developing education, leisure and vocational skills in the community.

Powered by Soreen, the Pedal for Props bikers will ride 100 miles on the first day, taking them to Portsmouth docks in time to catch an overnight ferry to St Malo. From there it’s three days hard cycling through the French countryside with overnight stops in Nantes and La Rochelle, finishing in Bordeaux on the evening of Sunday 30th May for a well-deserved rest and of course a slice of Soreen malt loaf! For all the latest updates from the team, head to http://www.pedalforprops.org/ for more information.

Making a splash with St Andrews Canoe Club

St. Andrews Canoe Club, have yet again been flying the Soreen flag whilst making a splash at the National Student Rodeo, held at the National Watersports Centre in Nottingham. Known as the biggest freestyle kayaking event in the world, the biggest student kayaking event in the UK and the best paddling party anywhere, the NSR was a perfect excuse for a Soreen outing!

Colin Fitzpatrick - the Ultra Marathon Man

Here at SoreenHQ we recently had a visit from Colin Fitzpatrick, who was on his was to John O’Groats for the start longest race in the U.K. Also known as an "Ultra Marathon", Colin was preparing to run 867 miles in 15 days with daily mileages ranging from 50 up to 63!
After covering most of his epic journey and of course fuelled by Soreen, Colin, also known as the "Darwen Dasher" has now almost completed his challenge alongside a 16 strong team and SoreenHQ has been following his trail throughout the duration of the event on his website http://www.colinfitzjohn.com/

If you're planning your own challenge and are using Soreen as part of your preparation, why not get in touch with us at feedback@soreen.com with details of your own Soreen adventure!
