As a rower with Wolfson, I have to say: Soreen Malt Loaf has got the team through more than one regatta. Whether away at races, on training camps, or just back home in Oxford, it's not unusual to find oarsmen scouring the local grocery for that last loaf. I agree entirely with Thomas, they have simply not produced electrical energy! They have broken the record for The Most Human Body Power produced over 24hrs.

The lack of distinction between body power and electric energy is very frustrating, especially when we are working so hard to educate students about energy conservation and get them involved in their own record attempt. This means sourcing equipment, dealing with the required data logging and fulfilling ALL of Guinness' conditions for the record.

Perhaps Soreen and Guinness could make a clear and separate distinction between the two records?

Does anyone know what the true electrical energy record is for 24hrs? I think the previous record was also set on the Watt bikes measuring body power?

If anyone has any advice or useful links on data logging volts, amps and watts for 21 bikes it would be very welcome?

Any company keen on sponsoring & getting involved in our record attempt would be most welcome.

i am very sorry but you fail the record! you absolute did not fit to the regulars of guinness!
you did not produce electric energy! you meassured body power which is a big differenz! and you did use more than the double of the alowed bikes!
regular of guinness
1. you have to use standart street bikes!
2. you have to produce electric energy with an alternator which is mounted to the back wheel!
3. you have to logg all the data to a database! voltage, amperes, watts,... for each bike!
4. a maximum of 21 bikes is allowed!
,.... and much more regulars!
so do you think you fit???

i can make 200Watt AVG during a long time on a bike! if i have to do this on a pedal powered generator so it would be roundabout 70 - 80 Watt

if i take your 82000Wh bring it down to 21 bikes so you have 34440Wh then we calculate the differenc between body power and electric power so it would be roundabout 13776Wh so nearly the same then the existing record! would be a interessting match if you do it right!
